Introduction

From December 2019 to May 2021, I served the Interim Director of the UW Tacoma Library and Associate Dean University Libraries. Prior to this, I worked as a librarian at the UW Tacoma since 2003, and I have supported digital scholarship on the UW Tacoma campus, served as administrator for the campus institutional repository, and collaborated with faculty as a subject liaison to several divisions within SIAS.

My book Trying Home: The Rise and Fall of an Anarchist Colony on Puget Sound, published by Oregon State University Press, won the 2015 Washington State Book Award in the History/General Nonfiction Category. I am also a regular contributor to HistoryLink.org, the Washington State history encyclopedia. For information about my work as a writer, please visit my author profile.
