Dr. Fan is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor with the University of Washington, Tacoma.  
His research interests include network softwarization, cloud computing, blockchain, and machine learning. 

He worked as a postdoctoral associate with the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (US) in 2019-2021.
He worked as a postdoc with the University of Kent, Canterbury (UK) in 2017-2019. 
He earned the Phd degree in Telematics Systems Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (Spain) in 2017.
