Dr. Haluk Demirkan is an innovation and analytics evangelist, maestro, data gig, recognized leader, experienced practitioner (20+ years), awarded consultant, accomplished scholar (~20 years), active applied researcher, cross-disciplinary teacher, effective mentor, invited speaker, productive author (150+ pubs) & professional student.

Dr. Demirkan (https://www.linkedin.com/in/halukdemirkan) is a Milgard Endowed Distinguished Chair Professor of Service Innovation and Business Analytics at University of Washington, and a Scientist at Amazon Devices and Services. He brings more than twenty-five years of experience spanning science, technology, and business, with deep multi-industry expertise and a strong record of interdisciplinary research across data-, decision-, design-, service-, cognitive- and systems-sciences. His work focuses on solving large-scale and complex with analytical, computational, and service-oriented approaches. 

Dr. Demirkan has collaborated with more than fifty global organizations in financial services, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, technology and others. 

He is also serving (on a professional voluntary basis), as Chief Scientist and Elected President of the International Society for Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP). With 2,000+ individual members, 600+ member organizations, and 200+ universities across 72 countries, ISSIP is a 501(c)(3) professional association whose mission is to advance service innovation to deliver exceptional experiences for people, businesses and society. 

He has authored 70+ peer-reviewed research articles and approximately 200 total publications. 

Dr. Demirkan holds a dual Ph.D. in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of Florida.
