Juan Wu joined the University of Washington Tacoma in Fall 2023 as an assistant professor of accounting. Her research interests span the areas of financial accounting and taxation, with an emphasis on the economic consequences of regulation. Using empirical archival research methods, she is particularly interested in investigating how exogenous shocks, such as tax policy and disclosure regulation, affect firms’ financial reporting behavior and other decision-making activities. She taught at Minnesota State University Mankato before joining UW Tacoma. She currently teaches Federal, Individual, and Corporate Income Taxation at UW Tacoma. In her spare time, she loves hiking and home DIY projects.
