Introduction
Dr. Jinlan Ni is currently an associate professor of Milgard School of Business at University of Washington (Tacoma campus). She received her PhD in economics from Purdue University in 2004. Her primary research interests are Applied Microeconomics, Financial Economics and Environmental Economics. She has authored over 40 papers that appear at Journal of International Money and Finance, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Journal of Comparative Economics, Energy Economics, Energy Policy and China Economic Review etc. Prior to joining UW, she was a tenured professor of economics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In her professional service, she was the President of the Chinese Economists Society (CES, 2013-14), CES regent chair, and CES Publication Council member/chair. She is currently the chair of CES finance committee, and co-editor-in-chief of the China Economic Journal, a co-affiliated journal by CES and National School Development of Peking University.
