Jingyi Li joined the faculty at the University of Washington Tacoma (UWT) in 2023. Her primary research focuses on evaluating and translating evidence-based, non-pharmacological interventions designed to improve the care and quality of life for older adults with dementia and their family caregivers.  
Jingyi Li has held clinical, educational, and administrative roles in caring for the geriatric population. She has been a registered nurse for ten years, practicing in various nursing roles in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. She also has expertise in collecting integral health data from nursing home residents and compiling the data into a thorough report for future research, insurance payment, and care quality improvement purposes. Her educational experience includes teaching nursing in undergraduate and graduate programs, developing dementia care curriculums, and engaging in nursing professional development. Her administrative role includes serving as a health services director in an assisted living facility primarily serving Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) populations.  
Jingyi Li is a member of the Gerontological Society of America, Pacific-Northwest Chinese Nurses Association, Western Institute of Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

•    Quantitative: descriptive survey, structural equation modeling, intervention component analysis.
•    Qualitative: inductive content analysis, indigenous coding, focus group, individual interview.
•    Community-based program evaluation.

Current Research:

(1)    Extending the scope of the translation of Reducing Disabilities in Alzheimer’s Disease (RDAD) intervention.
(2)    Developing dementia care curriculum and education programs to prepare a culturally competent dementia care workforce aiming to eliminate health disparities and address discrimination in dementia care.
