The Institute for Innovation and Global Engagement (IIGE) is home to UW Tacoma's interdisciplinary Global Honors Program, the Global Innovation and Design Lab, and the NextGen Program. Its Minors in Global Engagement and Innovation and Design, and Microcredentials in Design Thinking and NextGen Civic Leader Corps include funded global research and experiential learning opportunities, as well as connections to careers and graduate studies. The vision of the IIGE is a globally engaged campus. Its mission is to advance solutions for an interdependent world through interdisciplinary research, inclusive innovation, and community engagement.
