Introduction
As Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Success at the University of Washington Tacoma, I lead university-wide efforts to help students learn, thrive, graduate, and build meaningful pathways to lives and careers of purpose. Through the Student Success Strategy, I work with faculty, staff, and students to strengthen the educational experience across the university. I provide leadership for Academic Success Programs, the Tutoring Centers, the Office of Global Affairs, pre-major advising, university-wide academic advising initiatives, and efforts to expand access to High-Impact Practices.
I am also a faculty member and marine ecologist whose teaching and research have focused on the ecology and transport of larval stages of commercially important shellfish. Throughout my career, I have taught ecology, conservation biology, and related courses across a range of levels and modalities. My experiences as both a scholar and academic leader continue to inform my commitment to creating educational environments where all students can flourish.
