A graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia with a BA and an MA, McNeil moved to the Pacific Northwest as a Public Relations and Communications leader with State Farm Insurance. After a 17-year career in the insurance industry, McNeil further honed her leadership in the community, working for Parks Tacoma, Tacoma Art Museum and the Washington
Charter School Commission.

Before joining IIGE, McNeil came to UWT in a proviso-funded position in the Student Affairs Division. As a Data, Metrics, Assessment and Communications guru, her work helped further define and articulate the impact of Student Affairs on retention, graduation and student success. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness, cooking, live music and “all things charcuterie.” She and her husband Frank live in University Place.
