Brian started at UW Tacoma in 2022 as the Pierce College to UWT Transfer Advisor and in March of 2025 transitioned over to the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences to be an Academic Advisor. He is currently the Lead Academic Advisor for the Culture, Arts, and Communication Department and advises for all of their majors (Arts, Media and Culture, Communication, Spanish Language and Culture, and Writing Studies) as well as Psychology (last names S-Z). Prior to joining UW Tacoma, Brian was a high school history and social studies teacher in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District for seven years. Over the past 10 years in education he has always advocated for his students and worked to find ways to improve how the education system supports students. Brian and his family are long-time UW Football season ticket holders and enjoy cheering on all UW sports.
