Introduction

Dr. Carmean is the founder of the Ethical Analytics Group and is a strategist for analytics, eLearning, and new pedagogies. She teaches critical thinking and applied computing at the University of Washington Tacoma. Her current work includes moving K-12 teachers rapidly online and applying the value of "nudges" in improving learner decisions. Colleen is the 2002 EDUCAUSE NLII Fellow, a 2004 Frye Fellow, a 2006-2008 Arizona Wakonse Teaching Fellow, and a 2012 University of Washington Tacoma Writing Fellow. She is a past recipient of the WCET Innovator's Award (2018) and a State of Washington Innovation Award (2019).
