Introduction

I have worked in the Access Services department of the University of Washington Tacoma Library since 2010, first as a student employee, and then as a staff member beginning 2012. My primary position is as a circulation technician, where I can assist with reserves and requesting, locating, and checking out of materials. As an alumna of UW Tacoma, I can assist our population from both a staff and student perspective.

How can I help students?

  • Assist with finding physical materials and accessing digital resources, on campus or at home
  • Explain library policies, including borrowing privileges and wifi access
  • Help find reserves and materials for courses
  • Assist with room reservations, equipment and materials checkouts, and explain library services

How can I help faculty?

  • Answer questions about reserves
  • Process UW Libraries owned items and personal copies for course reserves
  • Assist with finding physical materials and accessing digital resources, on campus or at home
  • Explain library policies, including borrowing privileges and wifi access
