Aimee Kinney is a research scientist analyzing 30+ projects funded by the Puget Sound Marine and Nearshore Grant Program in order to identify specific ways their results can support recovery efforts. She earned a Master of Marine Affairs from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Biology/Marine Science from the University of Miami. Prior to joining the Puget Sound Institute, Aimee worked at the Seattle District Corps of Engineers where she served as environmental coordinator during the planning, design, construction, and monitoring of large civil works projects. In that role she worked on a broad range of projects, including habitat restoration, shoreline protection, navigation, and contaminated sediment remediation. She has considerable experience implementing environmental laws and regulations, as well as coordinating with federal, state, local, and tribal government agencies throughout the region.
