Introduction

As Personal and Public Writing specialist in the writing center, Margaret brings a deep interest in the identity work of language and experience in all kinds of writing—from academic prose and fiction, personal statements and reflective writing, to op-eds and other kinds of public writing. Margaret is a UW Tacoma alumni and Ph.D. candidate in Language and Rhetoric at UW Seattle, studying narrative identity construction and academic literacies among mature adult students. She is also the embedded tutoring coordinator (writing) in the TLC, and Editor-in-Chief of Access*: Interdisciplinary Journal of Student Research and Scholarship, housed in the UW Tacoma Digital Commons.
