Dr. Alexis Wilson has a broad background in leadership, health policy, and health information technology. She served as the Executive Director of the Carol Milgard Breast Center, and as an Administrator at MultiCare Health System in Tacoma. She was President and Founder of Outcome Concept Systems (OCS), a home health software company in Seattle, and CEO of the Visting Nurse Service of Hudson Valley, in Mt. Kisco, New York. In addition to her faculty responsibilities, she also works in various consulting roles, most recently as the Project Manager for the Advanced Imaging Management Project Workgroup in Washington State.
She served as a member of the Washington State Health Care Authoritys Healthcare Information Infrastructure Advisory Board (HIIAB) from 2005-2007, the Executive Advisory Board of the School of Business at Pacific Lutheran University (2008-2010), and currently serves on the Board of the Emergency Food Network.
Dr. Wilson has previously held positions in public health nursing, home health accreditation, and in hospitals. Dr. Wilson's key interests are in consumer-driven health care and health reform, health care policy, leadership, and outcome measurement. She holds a baccalaureate degree in nursing, from Pacific Lutheran University, a Master of Public Health, from Columbia University, and a PhD in Health Policy and Management, from Union Institute and University.
